What do Hack Score and Hack Level mean?

Hack Score

Hack Score is a measure of how abnormal and hacker-like a player's stats are. 100+ means their stats are extremely abnormal, and can only be produced by hacks (except from rare false positives).

A Hack Score from 0-100 is calculated for each weapon the player has used. The scores are then added up and displayed in the gauge at the top of the page.

Hack Level

The Hack Score is categorized into Hack Levels.

Legit - The stat is within the normal range.

Sus - The stat is just outside the normal range.

Very Sus - The stat is significantly outside the normal range.

Hack - The stat is so far outside the normal range that only hacks can produce.

How are hackers identified?

Individual weapon stats

Hackers often only hack with certain weapons. Checking the stats of each weapon can almost always identify a hacker.

Headshots

Usually hackers aimbot players heads which results in an abnormally high headshot percentage.

However, sometimes they only go for body shots to avoid being detected by anticheat. In this case, they will have an abnormally low headshot percentage.

Accuracy

Abnormally high weapon accuracy can identify a hacker.

Kills with unreleased weapons

Hackers can sometimes gain access to unreleased weapons, such as the LAD Machine Gun.

The exact weapon is not always detectable, but kills and usage of unreleased weapons usually are.

Vehicle Headshots

Cheaters may use aimbot in vehicles. But only high headshot rates are suspicious, as legit players will rarely get headshots with plane bombs, tank shells etc. Cheaters will be able to aimbot heads with vehicle machine guns.

Gadget usage

Some cheaters are able to use gadgets more times within a minute than theoretically possible. For example, being able to fire unlimited Fliegerfaust rounds or throw unlimited AT Grenades.

BFBan is a community driven hacker database created as a result from the incompetency of DICE to implement a working anticheat. Using BFBan allows this site to detect hackers with aimbot, wallhack, damage modification etc.

Video Evidence

Videos from trusted uploaders of cheaters, Battlefield V Cheater Database and John Flindt, will be displayed on player profiles.

How did you determine what the normal stat ranges are?

The stats of millions of players have been collected from different games modes, lobbies, and regions to find the range of normal values for each stat. The data additionally includes some of the worlds best players. The most common outliers among hackers were the headshot & accuracy percentage for each weapon. During gameplay, hackers were identified and then their stats collected to further confirm normal ranges.

False positives / negatives

False positives

(<0.2%). Some players could play the game in a certain way which produces hacker-like stats. For example, deciding to try and only ever get headshot kills or frequently playing hardcore.

False negatives

(<3% of hackers). Extreme cases of closet hacking where a player plays the game normally and only turns on their aimbot for small portions of a match.
(<1% of hackers). A player that has only just started hacking in the last couple of games will likely go undetected unless they've been rage hacking.

Very rarely, a player's stats with a weapon are wrong, e.g. having 60 kills, 0 time used but with an incorrect high accuracy. These weapons are now skipped to reduce false positives.
